The Shanghai Nonferrous Metals Price Index (SMMI) was officially launched on May 28th 2007, after the index was proofed and evaluated by academic and professional experts on April 28th 2007. Shanghai Nonferrous Metals Industry Association held a news conference in Shanghai and released the approval of SMMI by the evaluation expert group, trial run, and other important details.
